Intro to R Workshop

Join GUSH on January 14th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Eastern Time for an introductory R workshop — no prior experience required!

The workshop will cover fundamental and widely-applicable skills such as using the R console, script editor, writing functions, looping, simulations, and plotting. This will equip you with the fundamental knowledge and a strong foundation to prepare for spring courses with an R component (such as Stat 111, Stat 104, Stat 102, Gov 50, Ec 20, Psych 1900, etc.) — or just learn the basics of R for fun! This workshop will be especially helpful for students taking Stat 111.

Matt DiSorbo '17 will be teaching the workshop. Matt is a recent statistics alum who was an outstanding statistics concentrator and teaching fellow. Matt also has many years of experience using R in industry through his time at BlackRock, and he is currently a doctoral student at Harvard Business School.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP here. The workshop will take place on Zoom and can be accessed directly here.

Hope to see you all there!
